Cured and comfortable resort, completely renovated in 2011 and very popular on the Italian market for its exceptional panoramic seaside location, within the famous bay of Paradise Bay, with beautiful views of the homonymous sandy beach, considered one of the most beautiful on the island and within walking distance. We are in Cirkewwa, the extreme north of the island of Malta, facing the islands of Gozo and Comino. The latter, renowned for its famous Blue Lagoon with emeralds and clear sand in the Caribbean style, can be reached by a very short boat ride (very cheap) directly from the hotel. Gozo, the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago, famous for its beaches, its archaeological sites and its very characteristic handicrafts, can be reached in less than half an hour by ferryboats departing just a few meters from the property (the ticket costs about € 5 per person (roundtrip)).
The property also has its own equipped sandy beach, Island’s Edge Lido, located in front of the hotel. For rocks lovers, there are access to the sea with stairs directly from the pool area, to enjoy the crystal clear waters that characterize the western side of the hotel overlooking Paradise Bay. All rooms, as well as the restaurant and all common areas, enjoy a stunning sea view, or to Paradise Bay beach on the one hand, or to Gozo and Comino on the other. The hotel is undoubtedly an ideal and unsurpassed solution for those seeking a strategic position from which to move to enjoy the best seaside opportunities the Maltese archipelago can offer.
Malta is also famous for its millenary history and the resulting wealth of archaeological sites and cultural interest. Margò therefore advises you to explore the whole island, perhaps taking advantage of its special car and the special free half board formula offered by the hotel. A short distance from the resort is the San’Agata Tower, for example, but not to be missed is certainly the capital Valletta, built in the sixteenth century by the Knights of St. John or the oldest capital of Mdina, a true gem. For night-time enthusiasts, it’s a must-see in vibrant Sliema and St.Julian’s or nearby Bugibba, where you can find countless pubs, restaurants and shops of all kinds. All are also easily reachable with the frequent public buses linking the resort to all major island resorts, even at night.
LOCATION: Paradise Bay, Cirkewwa area, directly on the beach, 500 m from ferry terminal to Comino, 700 from Paradise Bay Lido, 7 km from downtown Mellieha, 12 from Bugibba, 22 from St. Julian’s, 25 from the airport. Bus stop in front of the hotel with steps every 45 minutes for the main resorts of the island (every hour and half at night – weekly subscriptions available at about € 21).
BEACH: of golden sand on the eastern side, with access to the rocky sea (we recommend the use of special slippers) equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and beach towels available to customers. Access to the ocean on the western side directly from the pool area through the ladder on the rocky wall. Paradise Bay Lido Beach, 700m, with golden sand, equipped with sun loungers and parasols.
ROOMS: 276 rooms, which can accommodate up to 4 adults, all with lateral sea views, terrace or balcony, private facilities, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, heating, satellite TV with Italian channels and mini fridge. For a fee, a safe (€ 17.5 for the duration of stay), wi-fi connection (25 € per week). Free wi-fi connection at reception.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS: 3 restaurants including the main buffet and 2 a la carte for a fee, the K-Lounge and Island’s Edge Bistro. 6 bars, the K-Lounge inside the homonymous restaurant, the Cockerel, the Mose Hall, the Coffe Shop within the Bistro, a pool bar and a beach bar. Half-board customers can choose freely when dining or having dinner entitling as many meals as they are on their stay nights. Eat Around Lunch or Dinner Option is also available, which will allow you to dine or dine at all the selected restaurants, including the Bayside Restaurant at 14 km. This option can be combined with the treatment of bed and breakfast and the half-board treatment at the hotel.
SERVICES OF PARADISE BAY RESORT HOTEL: 4 swimming pools, including 3 outdoor areas with a children’s area and an indoor heated pool in winter. Beach umbrellas, sun loungers and beach towels available to guests. Free wi-fi connection at reception. For a fee, shuttle service with motorboat for Comino Blue Lagoon (€ 8 per person a / r), laundry service, medical service, hairdresser, billiards, souvenir shop, internet point, massage (on reservation), sauna, whirlpool and bike and scooter rental. An Italian speaking animation staff also organizes daytime games and activities and entertainment activities in the evenings.
SPORT: gym and aquagym. For a fee, tennis (€ 3.5 field rent and rackets), table tennis, bowls, diving center equipped and snorkeling.
